Clifton Collins Jr. didn’t want to play another Latino. Even though he liked the part – a coach who, in real life, guided a group of kids from Monterrey, Mexico, to the championship of the Little League World Series – he’d taken several Latino roles in a row, and didn’t want to be typecast.

So Collins passed on “The Perfect Game.”
